菲尔?柯林斯（Phil Collins）于1951
年1月30日出生于伦敦， 他是那种少数既能
够获得广大观众热烈欢迎，同时又能受到圈
内著名乐手敬重和赞扬的歌手。事实上，除
了一些成人流行歌曲，跨越出这些范围之外
的其他领域对菲尔?柯林斯而言也是游刃有
余的，因为他不但曾经是爵士合奏乐团(Br-
andX)，同时也是成绩非凡的艺术摇滚乐团(
Genesis创世纪乐团)的成员之一。菲尔?柯
林斯更被乐界拥戴为世界上最佳摇滚鼓手之
一。
自从94年发行的《Both Sides Of The
Strong》之后，一连串发生了许多事。在事
业方面，Phil Collins正式宣布结束长期来
与Genesis的合作关系，至于个人生活方面，
在历经了婚变的阴霾之后，也找到另一位相
知伴侣，开始全新的生活。Phil Collins所
经历的这些心灵的转变全部反映在新专辑《
Dance Into The Light》的组织构架上，它
是一张Phil Collins个人独立完成的专辑，
完全忠实的呈现出他原本的构想，以吉它为
基础开始编曲，亲自完成鼓的部分，因此极
具节奏性，颇有民族音乐的味道。
