[center]Faith Evans在开始她自己的独唱事业前，曾担任过Mary J. Blige, Color Me Badd 和 Tony Thompson等人的幕后合音和词曲合作者。90年代中期，她以单曲You Used To Love me，融合轻量级饶舌和她充满灵魂色彩的浪漫的唱腔，而备受瞩目。延续单曲声势的专辑则听得出来深受Mary J. Blige的影响，有一大票的制作人及亲朋好友前来共襄盛举。

向来不刻意区分她和其他同属New Jill Swing一卦艺人的特殊才情，Faith Evens仍成功地在流行乐坛引起注目。专辑在美国告示排行榜拿到节奏蓝榜的亚军，在流行榜也有22名的佳绩。1997年3月，在其夫著名说唱乐手Notorious B.I.G. 被谋杀身亡后，Faith Evens在好友Sean 'Puffy' Combs（吹牛老爹）怀念其夫的的全球畅销单曲I'll Be Missing You中深情演出。而她自己的作品Love Like This 也有挤到前10名，顺便为专辑Keep The Faith暧身，此举果然有效，专辑发行后即有流行专辑榜前10名的佳绩。[/center]
